Cara is all about bold makeup choices while keeping a fresh, luminous complexion. We’d start off this look by applying a lightweight, moisturizing primer like the Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer. We’d then reach for Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup to achieve an even complexion and HD finish – perfect for the runway, or snapping some photos while out with friends! We’d recommend using a beauty blender or buffing brush to really work the product into the skin and get an even, line-free effect.
Once the face is primed and foundation has been applied, we’d go back in and tackle any blemishes or discolorations with a creamy concealer like the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit. We prefer applying foundation prior to concealer so that you can a) use less product and b) see what really needs to be concealed and what disappears with just the foundation. The less product you can use, the longer it will last and the more natural it will look.
The last step for this part would be to set the foundation and concealer with a lightweight ultra fine setting powder like Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder or a look-locking setting mist like Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. Keep in mind that a powder will create a matte effect whereas setting spray will lock in the luminous finish of the foundation.
As for the brows, we recommend shading them in just a teensy bit and providing them with more shape using a gel like Benefit Cosmetics Speed Brow. Cara has thick, in-your-face brows, so feel free to grab your favorite brow pencil if you feel a little more definition is needed.
For eyes, we like a matte champagne shadow or a simple swipe of tinted eyeshadow primer (Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in “Sin” does the trick just right). Finish the eyes with two swipes of your favorite mascara in dark brown or black.
Finally, decide what lip color you want to go with. We like mixing MAC Impassioned and MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj (pink) to get a color much like the one shown above. Remember to begin with a liner and apply the lipstick using a brush to avoid the color bleeding onto the skin around the lips. If you’d like, you can spritz a little setting mist onto the lip area to really lock it in.

Spring calls for plenty of cleaning, a little wardrobe rehauling, and a definite makeup routine change. What you use over the winter months just won’t cut it when the warmer weather kicks it into high gear, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. This spring we’re trading in our vampy lipsticks and dark smokey eyes for fresh colors, dewy skin, and a sun kissed glow. Care to join us? Read on to see some of our favorite spring makeup looks and our advice as to how to achieve them yourself.
Jessica Alba is the queen of natural beauty, and this look is no exception. We love her ultra dewy skin and the rose colored lip she’s rocking. We recommend a great peach-rose blush like NARS Sex Appeal, reflective highlighter like NARS Albatross, and a frosted lipstick like MAC Please Me. Don’t forget to carry the highlighter across the brow bones, on the bridge of the nose, and into your cupid’s bow for a full-on dewy masterpiece.
Rihanna’s makeup is always flawless and fresh, which is why we love this look for spring. Pair an almost-matte lipstick in poppy red with big lashes and a touch of bronzer for a “look at me” spring look. We love MAC Russian Red for the lips and Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up highlighting stick for just about everything else – including a bit of shimmer on the lids! Remember, go easy on the cheeks and eyes when rocking a bold color on the lips – particularly in spring and summer when looks tend to be softer and less harsh than fall/winter.
Cara Delevingne is one of the most in-demand models right now, and we can certainly understand why. She’s gorgeous, yes, but she also knows how to rock a lovely lip. For a similar look, we love NARS Heat Wave or OCC Makeup’s Lip Tar in Queen. For a contrasting pop of color, apply a little bit of turquoise liner in the lower water line. You’ll be looking spring-ready in no time at all.
This particular look is all about frost and highlighting. We say pick up Make Up For Ever Diamond Shadow and use it in the inner corner as well as across the lid. If you’d like, you could use this shadow as your highlighter too! Finish off with a couple coats of mascara (we love Benefit They’re Real) and a swipe of Revlon’s Super Lustrous Pearl lipstick in Porcelain Pink.
